adding to an already made system

In a company that mostly makes sails for the ship industry in Iceland is an old welding machine that uses electricity to weld together PVC plastic fabric. The electricity leads through an aluminium brick that is interchangeble. The bricks are usually a linear shape and look similar even though they differ in size. By combining production methods from two companies; an oldschool metalworkshop and an old industrial sewing company and sandcasting a new aluminium brick to fit in the machine this process gains a whole new purpose. This addition to the process opens up possibilities for concealing fabric in a different way.
